I know that depending on where you live that it can make a major impact on your expenses. For instance, I am about to move to one of the most expensive places in the United States and I have to tell you that I am not looking forward to seeing how much my normal bills are going to increase. Appealing An Unum Claim Denial

When my mother filed a claim at Unum, the last thing that she expected was an unum claims denial.  She had been religious in paying her premiums for the policy she purchased and she had been counting on the money in her insurance policy to help her with the medications and treatments now that she is stricken with multiple sclerosis.

 

She asked my help to talk to my husband’s brother who is a lawyer that has been handling Unum claim denial cases to take her case.  My brother-in-law took the case.  The first thing that they did was to file an appeal and talks with the company are still ongoing.  In case my mother’s appeal is denied, she is prepared to take her case to court.

Golfing As A Punishment

I went golfing with my father the other day because I was being punished. I’d stayed out too late the night before, so he got me up at 7am to take me golfing with him to teach me a lesson. It turned out to be a beautiful day. I did see a really nice looking guy wearing galvin green golf clothing who caught my eye. However, Dad noticed my interest in him and made me stay in the golf car while he and the fellow chatted. I hate being 15 and having Dad dictate my life. Only three more years until I’m on my own.

Portable kitchen islands with stools

We put in a big patio in the backyard about two years ago and we have been putting a little more on the patio as we can. Last year, we put in a gazebo and we have also put in a propane fire pit.  We started looking at Portable Kitchen Islands  with stools for this years project. We think we will get a lot of use out of it because we like to cook outside and it would sure help if we didnt’ have to drag stuff from the  kitchen through the dining room and finally outside.  It would make things a lot easier.

No Better Way To Give Your Home A Makeover Than To Get Modern Home Furnishings

Now, while there is absolutely nothing wrong with the furniture and stuff that we have had for years, sometimes you just need a change to give a home a breath of new life in it.  That said, now that all of our children are grown up and out on their own, we have decided that it is high time we started replacing some of that old, but loved, furniture and such with modern home furnishings.  It will be nice to give the house a brand new look, and make the home a new space, now that we’re entering a whole new time in our lives.

Layaway vacation packages for the family

Trying to put together a vacation for the family this year just looked like it wasn’t going to happen. For a family of six, a five hundred dollar credit card doesn’t get you very far. Also some hotels put a hold on your  debit card until the amount clears-and that can be a week after you get home.  Then I started doing some searching and found about Online Layaway Travel and I thought that would be a great option for my family.  I knew we wanted to go to Orlando and I knew we wanted to spend two days at Disney and then go to the ocean. I put together a package and paid it off in three months. NO credit card needed. What a great plan!

Installing An Outdoor Outlet

For Fathers Day this past year we decided to surprise my dad with an outdoor audio system with speakers that look like rocks. My dad has wanted one of these for years. He spends a lot of time in the backyard and would love this. So I headed this project and soon realized that it was a bigger task than anticipated.

It turns out that we had to install an outdoor outlet so we could plug in the sound system. I thought my dads house was built with one of these, but I guess not. It really wasn’t hard to do, just took a lot of time.

Billboard ad and its effectiveness

We have been very happy with our latest billboard ad and its effectiveness in converting to sales. The latest  Outdoor Billboard Advertising we ran we backed it up with a twitter campaign.  We had built up about 10,000 followers on twitter before we decided to go ahead with a billboard advertisement and but the little twitter bird on the billboard. It has turned out well also because we put posters in the store with the billboard picture and then als put a display at the front of the store.  If they bring in a copy of the twitter coupon they get a free small drink with the purchase of a sandwich.  It has worked out great.

Wooden Marble Games As Home Decor

I got wonderful wooden marble games from my mother. She gave it to me when she visited me last week. I was so happy when I saw the games because the kids love to play and board games are their favorite. I realized that my mother purposely bought wooden marble games so that I can also display them inside my home. I am glad that my mother gave me the perfect gift. I know that my home still needs a lot of improvement, and the games she gave me definitely made my house look a lot better. Now I only need a few more things for my home.
