Getting Pregnant Despite PCOS

February 28th, 2009 by admin

I have found that a diagnosis of PCOS does not mean permanent infertility.

Several doctors confirmed my PCOS when I was unable to get pregnant and most of them held out little hope that I would ever be a mother.  But one doctor did say that there was evidence that natural supplements and methods had been known to enhance chances of conception.  He said it couldn’t hurt to try but was not encouraging.

When I went to the Internet and researched ways of getting pregnant with PCOS, I found information about the natural methods my doctor had mentioned.  They were safe and I could do them, so I did.

After charting the most fertile times of the month for my husband and I, I took supplements and began trying for a baby.

Our baby girl was born one year later, exactly.  If I don’t teach her anything else, I will teach her to never stop trying.
