Understanding Nutrition and Health

Scientific research has showed that many people simply disregard the recommended guidelines for healthy eating.  More often, poor health is reflected in one’s lifestyle. Exposure to pollutions and toxic substances in the environment like the air we breathe most of the time in our life, the water we drink to quench our thirst and even the food that we eat everyday, whether processed or unprocessed contribute to ailments. These are some of the few factors that lead to sickness and diseases.  It is of great importance to consider food supplements as well to ascertain proper nutrition and health.  Vitamins and minerals are not exactly the as “food supplement”.  As the term denotes, it supplements the necessary dietary needs in the body supplied by the foods that we eat.
