Garage door sizes can affect the power to be emitted by the motor and also to determine the need to secure any extensions. A 7 foot standard garage doors can be less complicated to use compared to larger door sizes which usually requires an extension to be used. Belt driven garage door openers are available in three sizes. The depends on the power needed to open the door and the size of the garage door itself. The motor sizes available are 1/4 HP, 1/2 HP, and 3/4 HP, each provides different degree of power which depends on the door size and its weight.
