Town Hall Meetings Are a Frequent Occurrence in The United States

October 9th, 2009 by admin

When an elected official is making decisions on certain political issues, there are many times when it is necessary to hold a public meeting so that the citizens can discuss the topic and hopeful influence the decision.  This is most commonly referred to as town hall meetings and are often a frequent occurrence within the United States.  This is largely due to the fact that the citizens do play some sort of role in the decision making process, although we don’t always feel as though we have a say in what is happening in the political world.  Attending these types of meetings is often a good idea because you can at least say what is on your mind.
