Visiting Rotorua in your New Zealand Trip

July 19th, 2009 by admin

Your New Zealand trip to the north island will not be complete if you have missed out Rotorua. Also known for its sulphuric ‘aroma’, you may like to allocate two days to cover Rotorua. The volcanic scenery or varied marine life in the Bay of Plenty has lots to impress. We stayed at a cottage for a night before heading to taupo for another restful night. Watching the geysers and mud pools at Wai-o-tapu Thermal Reserve was an experience, minus the strong sulphur smell. ON the way to Taupo, you should not miss Huka Falls and a dip in the hot pool of the many thermal resorts.
